V0NT share their first single off their upcoming full length!

We are thrilled to announce that after several splits and shorter releases Czech electronic punks V0NT are back with their first full length record! "Rovnost" is a heavy dystopian collage of cold industrial techno beats and mutated samples stolen from obscure punk records. The first single "Černější než černá" (Blacker than Black) is about the conflict of faith and power, strength and weakness, ideals and selling out. It is inspired by the stories of christian priests collaborating with the totalitarian regime. You can stream "Černější než černá" via CVLT Nation & pre-order the LP in our webshop

V0NT members have played in numerous DIY hardcore bands for many years and their roots are clearly translated in the energy of the record, although guitars were replaced by samplers, synths and beaten effect pedals. The whole album is built around themes like guilt, fear, surveillance, faith, obedience, survival and life choices as experienced under extreme conditions. This is where the title comes from. 'Rovnost' was a corrective work camp in totalitarian Czechoslovakia where 'persona non grata' were sent to be broken by the ruling regime."

We're honoured to be able to work together with James, it has really been inspiring see his growth and dedication these past two years and seeing the label really receive the attention it well deserves

Love the way underground music scene works and how we met a couple of years back in Oakland after a Leechfeast show. James was kind enough to show us around, drove us to an amazing graveyard with a stunning view over the bay and took us to lunch and dinner.
